Water main extension to serve population growth & reliability for residential & businesses as part of Greater Western Waters ongoing renewal program. New assets included designing various underground flow meter pits, air valves, flushing assemblies, and valve bypass arrangements. Key savings in construction costs and minimal disruption to local communities were achieved due to utilisation of underground boring techniques and designing of tapping’s under pressure to keep existing water mains online and avoid any prolonged shutdowns of critical assets.
